We went for the rise of the jack-o-lantern. Great amount of carvings and decorations. It is a long walk through a winding trail through the woods. The paved path takes about an hour and a half to walk through. It's a bit steep at times, but it's not too challenging. It cost about 30 dollars per person and there was ample parking. All in all, a great stop. Just need to buy tickets in advance and bring a printout copy because there is no cell signal. There's not much that you can buy on site ,so bring your own food and drinks with.

My son was suspended and then expelled with no refund, my 2 nieces were suspended. My son never gets in trouble anywhere else, and neither do my 2 neices- I had a great experience at yjcc, but usdan has a crazy dean

Very big camp focusing on art and performance. I like the scale of that and it’s nice separation from the world. I feel if you have a good teacher and a few good friends who wants to research arts. This is the place you want to be.

My son just finished third grade and started for the first time this summer. He's very into both visual and performing arts, and it's like this camp was custom made for him. Although we live in western Queens and the bus ride can be up to two hours each way, the bus stop is super convenient and my son has made new friends who have lured him away from his iPad, so I'm thrilled. The staff are all amazingly responsive to my inquiries and both patient and eager to meet our needs. I love the panoply of choices for classes and that my son will learn so much. But what sold him at first was that he can swim every day--something in short supply at most other city day camps. We're very happy.
